The following should be noted:
When goods are purchased online, they may not originate from the country in which the Customer resides, and may therefore be subject to customs duties, which correspond to the fee or tax charged when goods cross international borders, so the Customer should check whether the goods are being sent:
– From their country;
– From another country;
– Outside the customs union to which their country belongs.
TAVARES also rejects any liability for damages caused to the Customer as a user of the Internet network arising from any interference, external intrusions, interruptions, computer viruses, malfunctions or disconnections of the computer system or any other.
The Customer, as a user, must comply with these general conditions and respect them, undertaking in particular to comply with the following obligations:

TAVARES also informs that the prices charged in the Online Shop are exclusive to the TAVARES online store and may vary from the prices in the TAVARES physical store.
A “Order validation” presupposes that the Customer has read and accepted these General Terms and Conditions of Sale, expressly acknowledging this as soon as the purchase process is completed.
Once the online purchase process has been completed, the Customer will immediately receive an automatically generated electronic communication via email in which the transaction is confirmed, and the Customer must verify its receipt and the conformity of all the data contained therein, and if this communication is not received or if any nonconformity is verified, the Customer must immediately request its rectification or the cancellation of the purchase made, and for this purpose must contact TAVARES by any of the means indicated above.

Once the online order has been placed, the Customer will be asked to pay for the products purchased. TAVARES has four payment methods available to the Customer for this purpose:
TAVARES only processes orders placed after confirmation of payment by the Customer, so it is not possible to guarantee the availability of products until the start of processing, in which case the stock required to fulfill the order may no longer be available.
The product sheet indicates the availability of the item, plus the time required for transportation, which depends on both the carrier and the destination of the order.
It should also be noted that TAVARES only dispatches orders on working days, so neither weekends nor public holidays are taken into account when estimating the delivery of orders.
Any delay in the dispatch of the products purchased in relation to the estimated delivery dates shall not entitle the Customer to compensation.
Shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer.
The product is carefully packed to avoid any damage during transportation, in order to ensure full customer satisfaction.
Nevertheless, the transportation of the products is covered by insurance against loss or possible damage that may occur during transportation, so that the Customer does not assume any risk in the delivery of the products purchased.
All products received by the Customer must be immediately checked upon delivery, and if the Customer finds that the package is damaged, he/she must immediately return it to the carrier and duly justify the reason for the return on the carrier’s delivery note, and immediately notify TAVARES through its contacts.
If, upon receipt of the ordered product, the customer finds that any of the items are not in conformity, please contact TAVARES immediately at email indicating the number of the document that accompanied the order, and immediately attaching images showing the damage to the product and the packaging in the exact terms in which they were received by the Customer.
TAVARES has contracted delivery services for the products sold through the online store. online with specialized carriers for deliveries in Portugal and abroad, and every effort is made to meet the shipping and delivery deadlines, although TAVARES cannot be held responsible for any delays in delivery beyond its control.
All goods are shipped via DHL, so TAVARES is only responsible for placing the items in suitable packaging designed for transportation.
Most deliveries are made on working days and during office hours to the delivery address indicated by the Customer when processing their order, so the Customer must ensure that the data entered when placing the order is correct by verifying it in full.
Within the scope of its Customer Satisfaction Policy, and under the applicable legal terms, for purchases made in the Online Shop TAVARES also allows the exchange or return (termination of the contract) of the products purchased, within 30 days from the date of receipt by the Customer, free of charge and without the need to indicate the reason, provided that they are in their original packaging and without any mark or sign of use.
To do so, the Customer must notify TAVARES in writing – via e-mail or letter – of their intention, although the products must still be returned within the indicated period of 30 days after receipt by the Customer, duly packed in their original packaging and accompanied by the respective invoice.
Under no circumstances will TAVARES receive any products without prior contact from the Customer.
Once this contact has been made and the Customer has obtained the corresponding return information, the products must be sent to the TAVARES physical store, whose details are as follows:
VIRGILIO ARISTIDES TAVARES, HERDEIROS, LDA
Rua da Junqueira, 54

Once the product has been received at TAVARES ‘ premises, it will be checked technically and, if any lack of conformity within the scope of the Guarantee is proven, the product will be sent to the Brand’s Technical Assistance and, once the problem has been solved, it will be sent to the Customer at the address indicated at no additional cost.
