Light and heat can affect the color and durability of some gemstones. Colored stones such as amethysts, kunzites, topazes, pearls, tanzanites and opals are especially sensitive to sun exposure and their color can be altered if they have been exposed to intense sunlight for a long time. Excessive heat and sudden changes in temperature can also cause changes in the crystalline structure of these gems.
Exposure to chemicals can damage or discolor some metals and gemstones. Simple substances such as hairspray, cream, perfume or other cosmetics can contain chemicals that will deteriorate the surface of your jewelry. Therefore, we recommend that you remove your jewelry whenever you do tasks such as gardening, house cleaning, going to the gym, swimming and also whenever you use chemical products.
The secret to good cleaning is simplicity. Most gemstones can be cleaned with warm water, neutral soap and a soft brush. You can also use an ultrasonic cleaner and finish by drying with a soft, lint-free cloth. Alternatively, you can also use our specialized restoration and cleaning services where, using more specific equipment, we will give your jewelry a new lease of life.
Organic gems such as pearls and corals are more delicate and should therefore be gently cleaned with a soft cloth.
Jewelry should be treated and stored with delicacy and care. Jewelry cabinets should be compartmentalized to separate jewelry by species, size and shape. Their interiors should be lined with soft fabrics to prevent scratches and wear.
We recommend that all jewelry with diamonds, rubies, emeralds, sapphires and other gems of rare beauty be cared for regularly, in order to validate the tension and safety of the setting, do a general clean and polish, remove dust and other accumulated grease, enhancing their brilliance and the characteristics that make them unique and precious.

Many of our jewels are custom-made in our atelier, according to the dreams of those who come to us.
Therefore, it is important to know the correct size and measurement of the jewel we are going to design.

When placed on your finger, the ring should be comfortable so that it does not fall off, but loose enough to slide off when you want to take it off.
The size of your finger varies depending on the time of day and the weather. To obtain the best results, measure your finger:
— At the end of the day or when your finger is warm (fingers are thinner early in the morning or when the weather is cold);
— Measure your finger size 3 to 4 times to avoid possible reading errors.
To obtain more accurate measurements, you should avoid using string or paper to measure your finger size, as these materials can stretch or twist, distorting the actual measurement. If you are ordering from abroad, you can determine your ring size according to your country, using the table above, matching the Portuguese size with the international size.
