Diamonds are the rarest and most prized gemstones in the world. In addition to their singular brilliance, they also have unique characteristics. In Greek and Roman mythology, diamonds were considered to be the tears of God or fragments of the stars. They are formed under extraordinary conditions of pressure and temperature, deep within the earth. They are composed only of carbon atoms, giving them the status of the hardest mineral known today.

Throughout the ages, diamonds have been cut and re-cut several times, allowing their stories to be told by many generations, and they have come down to the present day rich in history.

Many kings and queens wanted to use diamonds in their personal adornments as a sign of power, but also for their brilliance, durability, elegance and beauty.

Reminiscent of Marilyn Monroe, “Diamonds are a girl’s best friend” reflects the sentiment of many women, contributing to the fame of diamonds in the world of high jewelry and luxury products.

At Tavares we have specialists in diamonds and precious stones, who have undergone continuous training at the Gemological Institute of America (GIA), which gives us in-depth and always up-to-date knowledge of this fantastic world.

We are demanding with the quality chosen for our diamonds and precious stones, all of which are certified by our experts and also by the internationally recognized entities in the field (GIA and HRD).

When placed on your finger, the ring should be comfortable so that it does not fall off, but loose enough to slide off when you want to take it off.

The size of your finger varies depending on the time of day and the weather. To obtain the best results, measure your finger:

— At the end of the day or when your finger is warm (fingers are thinner early in the morning or when the weather is cold);

— Measure your finger size 3 to 4 times to avoid possible reading errors.

To obtain more accurate measurements, you should avoid using string or paper to measure your finger size, as these materials can stretch or twist, distorting the actual measurement. If you are ordering from abroad, you can determine your ring size according to your country, using the table above, matching the Portuguese size with the international size.
