It only concerns this page and not any other forms of communication or any other pages that can be visited from the one indicated, except those for which TAVARES is responsible.

In accordance with current legislation on the protection of personal data and with regard to the services provided by this company, in particular with regard to any information and/or electronic communications, the User, by providing any data, expressly accepts and acknowledges that the personal data provided when registering as a User, as well as those provided for the purpose of making an online purchase, will be incorporated into a Customer file owned by TAVARES.

The Customer also consents to the respective use and processing of his/her personal data for the purposes of processing orders placed by the Customer and also for informing him/her, by e-mail, telephone contact or any other means, of news, products and services relating to TAVARES. To this end, the User expresses his/her consent to the sending of newsletters, catalogs, commercial communications and advertising through any other means of digital and/or remote communication.

The Customer also acknowledges that the personal data collected by TAVARES is adequate, relevant, necessary and limited to the scope of TAVARES and the satisfaction of purchases, exchanges and/or returns made by its Customers.

TAVARES expressly acknowledges and guarantees that it will keep a documented record of all activities involving the processing of personal data provided by Customers.

TAVARES is not responsible for any use of personal data of third parties other than the User, and it is the User’s sole responsibility to obtain the consent of the holders of any third-party data indicated, and the User guarantees that the personal data provided is true, accurate, current and correct, and undertakes to notify TAVARES with a view to any change and/or rectification thereof.

Any loss, misplacement, damage or other harm caused to orders and products as a result of incorrect data or incorrect information is the sole responsibility of the User.

TAVARES ensures the confidentiality of all personal data collected and provided by the User, as well as its integrity and confidential treatment, allowing sole and exclusive access by those whose access becomes necessary for the processing of orders placed by the Customer, and assumes, for these purposes, the technical, organizational and security measures necessary to prevent its alteration, loss, processing or unauthorized, improper or abusive access, all in accordance with the provisions of Law no. 67/98, 26 October (Data Protection Law), as amended.º 67/98, de 26 de Outubro (Data Protection Act), as amended, Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council, of April 27, 2016 (GDPR), and other applicable legislation in this area.

However, the User is warned that the personal data collected for use and processing may be communicated to any entity when this arises from compliance with legal obligations or is requested by public authorities with sufficient power to do so, such as the Tax and Customs Authority or any Courts.

Without prejudice to any other legal rights of the holders of personal data collected under the terms indicated above, the User may, at any time, exercise his or her right to access, rectify and cancel or delete his or her personal data that has been provided, and for this purpose he or she must contact TAVARES in writing or in person.

TAVARES undertakes to its Clients, who are the source of personal data, to strictly observe the following rules:

• To process data in a lawful, fair and transparent manner, collecting only the information necessary and relevant to the purpose for which it is intended;
• To allow data subjects to access, modify and delete the information registered about them;
• Not to use the data collected for a purpose other than that for which it was collected in the terms set out above;
• Keep the data accurate and, as far as is possible with the cooperation of the owners, up to date;
• Guarantee, free of charge, the right to delete the data used when requested by the data subjects, as well as guaranteeing the right to withdraw consent, unless there is a legal requirement to the contrary;
• Have security mechanisms that prevent unauthorized persons from consulting, modifying, destroying or inserting data;
